İlknak HATCHERIES
lknak’s hatcheries are producing premium quality sea bass sea bream ,meagre, pagrus and umbrina juveniles. As a result of new investments, the capacity of the main hatchery unit in the Dikili region was increased to 100 million juveniles as of 2019. In addition, two more facilities became operational in Urla and in the Milas district of Muğla in January 2021 and August 2023, respectively. With these facilities, the total juvenile production capacity has reached 250 million units.
İlknak PRE-GROWING
Ilknak´s pre-growing unit produces 0,3-6 gr juveniles. The facility has an annual capacity of 200 million juveniles. The pre-growing unit operates since April 2014 .
İlknak ON-GROWING FARMS
Ilknak owns and operates 3 off shore fish farms with an annual capacity of 5.000 tons for sea bass, sea bream and pagrus. All the 3 farms are located in the area of Dikili, North of Izmir and operating under the higher quality standards in terms of fish welfare and environment protection. The area is having cold waters and strong currents, that are having a very positive impact in the quality and taste of the fish.
İlknak PACKAGING AND PROCESSING FACILITIES
Ilknak’s BRC and IFS certified packaging and processing unit is located in Menemen/ Izmir, in very close distance to the farms. The short distance between the farms and packaging unit guarantees the high quality and freshness of the fish. There are two fresh fish grading lines, three processing lines for gutted fish and fillets and a spiral IQF and tunnel for production of frozen goods. The annual capacity of the facility is over 10.000tn of fresh w/r fish, 3.500tn of processed and 2.000tn of frozen fish.
